1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using any component of MyYaad — the desktop application, the browser extension, or both — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the software. “MyYaad” or “the Software” refers to the combination of the desktop application and browser extension published by Auxilio Technologies LLC.

2. Description of Service

MyYaad is a privacy tool consisting of a desktop application and a browser extension that work together to protect personal information when using AI chatbot services.

  • The desktop application stores your encrypted vault of personal data, generates shadow values, and runs the Shadow Engine — the core transformation layer that replaces real data with realistic but fake alternatives.
  • The browser extension intercepts prompts on supported AI chatbot sites, replaces personal data with shadow values before submission, and restores the real values in AI responses displayed to you.

Both components are required for full functionality. The extension without the desktop app cannot access your vault or generate shadow values.

3. Local-First Architecture

MyYaad operates entirely on your local device. For the free tier there are no cloud services, user accounts, or hosted infrastructure. The software communicates only between the browser extension and the desktop application via localhost (127.0.0.1). No data leaves your device through MyYaad.

A future Pro tier may offer optional encrypted cloud synchronisation. If introduced, it will be subject to separate terms and will always be opt-in.

4. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining backups of your vault data.
  • You are responsible for the security of your device and operating system keychain.
  • You must comply with the terms of service of any AI chatbot provider you use with MyYaad.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your use of AI chatbot services complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
  • You must not use MyYaad for any unlawful purpose.
  • You acknowledge that shadow protection reduces but may not completely eliminate the exposure of personal information to third-party AI services.

5. Intellectual Property

  • MyYaad — including its source code, design, Shadow Engine, and documentation — is the intellectual property of Auxilio Technologies LLC.
  • Your vault data, shadow mappings, and all personal content remain your property. We claim no ownership or rights over user-generated content.
  • The MyYaad name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Auxilio Technologies LLC.

6. Third-Party AI Services Disclaimer

MyYaad is designed to work with third-party AI chatbot services including, but not limited to, ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), and DeepSeek.

  • We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any AI provider.
  • We do not control how AI providers process, store, or use data — including shadow values sent via your prompts.
  • AI providers may change their interfaces, terms, or functionality at any time, which may affect MyYaad's compatibility.
  • You use third-party AI services at your own risk and subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies.
  • We are not responsible for any actions taken by AI providers with data they receive, whether shadowed or otherwise.

7. No Warranty

MyYaad is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

  • Shadow protection will be 100% effective in all scenarios.
  • The Software will be compatible with all AI chatbot interfaces at all times.
  • The Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
  • Shadow values cannot be reverse-engineered or correlated by sufficiently motivated parties.

Any reliance on the Software is at your sole risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Auxilio Technologies LLC and its founders, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
  • Damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Software.
  • Damages arising from the actions or omissions of third-party AI providers.
  • Data breach or exposure resulting from device-level security failures.
  • Any failure of shadow protection to completely mask personal information.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. For free-tier users, this amount is zero.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Auxilio Technologies LLC, its founders, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of MyYaad.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any third-party rights.
  • Your interactions with AI chatbot providers.
  • Any content you create, store, or transmit using MyYaad.

10. Data Ownership and Privacy

We do not own, access, or control your data. Your vault data exists only on your device and is never transmitted to Auxilio Technologies LLC or any third party by the Software.

11. Termination

  • You may stop using MyYaad at any time by uninstalling the desktop application and browser extension.
  • We may discontinue the Software or any of its features at any time with reasonable notice.
  • Upon uninstallation, all MyYaad data on your device is removed. Because we hold no data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete.

12. Modifications to Service

We may update MyYaad with new features, bug fixes, or changes to existing functionality. The desktop application includes an auto-updater; you can control update preferences in the app settings.

Material changes to these Terms will be communicated via the application and on our website at myyaad.com. Continued use of MyYaad after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Colorado.

Nothing in these Terms shall limit the rights of consumers in the United Kingdom, the European Union, or any other jurisdiction where local consumer protection laws apply regardless of contractual choice of law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Auxilio Technologies LLC regarding the use of MyYaad. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
