1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MyYaad (“The Shield”), including the desktop application and browser extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. Description of Service

MyYaad is a privacy tool that replaces personal information in AI chatbot prompts with realistic shadow values. The software consists of a desktop application (which stores your vault and performs shadow generation) and a browser extension (which intercepts prompts and restores values in responses).

3. Local-First Software

MyYaad operates entirely on your local device. We do not provide cloud services, accounts, or hosted infrastructure for the free tier. The software communicates only between the browser extension and the desktop application via localhost (127.0.0.1).

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your vault data.
You are responsible for the security of your device and operating system keychain.
You must comply with the terms of service of any AI chatbot provider you use with MyYaad.

5. No Warranty

MyYaad is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that shadow protection will be 100% effective in all scenarios, or that AI chatbot providers will not change their interfaces in ways that affect the extension's functionality.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyYaad and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of MyYaad after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
